New gamma probe makes the breast surgery easier
A special probe, which is important in the surgery of malignant breast and skin tumors, becomes a part of Medissimo technological equipment. It locates radioisotopes in lymph nodes.
During surgical intervention it precisely locates and directs the surgeon via acustic signal to 1-2 suspected nodes which the surgeon excises. Thus, the patient passes considerably more considerate intervention. The patient does not need to pass an extensive operation in which the surgeon, without using of gamma probe, excises all nodes. Such operation is often connected with complications related with pains, edemas, and tingling of the hands.
Also thanks to the gamma probe we offer to our patients the surgical treatment which respects the world’s most modern techniques.
